Dear participants,

On behalf of the Postgraduate Students Commission (ipSC) from the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa), we would like to take this opportunity to sincerely appreciate your participation and contribution to the 9th iMed.ULisboa Postgraduate Students Meeting and 2nd i3DU Meeting, July 13th and 14th 2017, Lisbon, Portugal.

iMed.ULisboa mission is to develop innovative medicines and benefit human health through top-class multidisciplinary research. This year we will join the postgraduate students at iMed.ULisboa meeting with the first postgraduate students belonging to the PhD Programme in Medicines and Pharmaceutical Innovation (i3DU) meeting. PhD Programme i3DU is a joint initiative of two reference universities in Portugal, the University of Lisbon (U.Lisboa) and the University of Porto (U.Porto), grouping competences and boosting quality in postgraduate training, in cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry.

The main goals of the ipSC are to contribute for the complementary formation of postgraduate students at iMed.ULisboa and to stimulate the interaction between the different scientific fields of the Institute, promoting an investigation of excellence, and focusing on the surrounding population needs. This year, we are pleased to introduce a second day in this event, with oral presentations from renowned alumni from your faculty working in different fields from academia or industry and a discussion about “The PathAway: the next challenge”. This round table will focus in the range of paths that students can take after obtention of the doctoral degree exemplified by our invited speakers.

We sincerely hope that you will enjoy the 9th iMed.ULisboa Postgraduate Students Meeting and 2nd i3DU  Meeting, exchange new ideas, and promote future collaborations.

We look forward to welcoming you at this event!
